2021 marks the first time that Juneteenth will be an official holiday in New Jersey. Organizations across our region are marking the occasion with programs that commemorate the end of chattel slavery by connecting it to the ongoing struggles for racial equality and civil rights. The team at API will be joining others in honoring this living history by attending events that center Black voices and examining how we can further our personal and organizational commitments to equality and intersectionality. We invite you to stand with us as we face the past and look to a more equitable future.
